Playful Computing for Gifted Learners help teachers build the creativity of their gifted students through experiences with physical computing. Physical computing can be defined as sensing and controlling the physical world using computers. Teaching about physical computing is important for helping students become more engaged with computer science.

Participants will learn to use computing gear such as the Makey Makey boards and the AdaFruit Circuit Playground to learn concepts in computational thinking, which can be defined as problem-solving in a very systematic way. In this workshop, you’ll learn strategies for :
- designing
- expressing
- playing
- iterating
- collaborating
- sharing
all in the context of playful computing!

Available for K-6 and 7-12 teachers and staff, these workshops will provide highly-qualified professional development about gifted education for your school.

A Makey-Makey Go Circuit Board or AdaFruit Circuit Board is included

Workshop length: three hours; certificate provided ($125).
